Michael Sheppard

Michael Sheppard is a Senior Associate at Tammen Hospitality Partners, where he represents hotel and resort owners in investment sales and advisory assignments across a national platform. Based in New Mexico, he plays an active role in expanding the firm's presence throughout the Southwest.

In his role, Michael guides owners through the full disposition process, including valuation, asset positioning, offering preparation, investor outreach, and execution through closing. He focuses on giving clients a clear view of both financial performance and operational potential, so that the decision to sell, hold, or reposition is informed by a clear understanding of the asset’s current performance, market positioning, and upside potential.

Michael brings more than 20 years across commercial brokerage, hospitality and resort development, as well as asset and property management. He has led ground-up development and repositioning of hospitality assets in high-barrier markets, including Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, in Santa Fe, and his experience extends to ground leases, tribal trust land, and build-to-suit development. That background gives him a working command of the entitlement and approval pathways that often determine whether a hospitality transaction closes. He is a licensed New Mexico qualifying broker.

He is known for his precision in structuring and his directness with clients, and for explaining complex transactions in straightforward terms. Owners value his discipline and transparency throughout the process, as well as his focus on relationships that extend well beyond a single closing.
